My name is Amanda Ingram and I run Hummingbird Garden Design here in Cumbria. After graduating from University, and spending a number of years in marketing, I decided to turn my passion for horticulture – sparked from transforming my own little garden – into a new career focused around enabling others to enjoy their own outdoor spaces. My decision was easy, it was about supporting people who wanted to transform their garden. No matter how big or small, to achieve their goals and bring them joy.
I started by studying for an FdSc in Garden Design from which I graduated with Distinction. During this time I worked in the horticulture sector to gain valuable practical experience. More recently I have been designing gardens and planting schemes for a number of years within the landscaping sector before starting Hummingbird Garden Design in 2019. I live and work in Cumbria and adore being out in the fells and lakes as much as I enjoy creating gardens for people so that they can enjoy their own piece of the great outdoors.
