PROJECT SUMMARY
Our brief was to create a number of different gardens around the property; an existing barn to be converted into a home. The main elements included defining the boundaries, providing space for parking, creating entertaining areas, and to differentiate between each zone around the property.
KEY POINTS
- Front separated from the neighbouring property and access road with a hedge, formal wall and gate create an entrance feature. Existing open area transformed into a natural space with wildlife pond, wildflower meadow, mown pathways and several trees.
- Formal area near the property with a koi pond and raised beds to create an enclosed feel with integral seating.
- The side of the property enclosed as a separate garden for use from the annex with additional trees and different paving zones separated with coloured paving bands.
- Back garden transformed with formal raised beds adding height whilst maintaining the views beyond. Entertaining space with outdoor kitchen linked to summerhouse with terrace and hot tub. Parking area separated with low formal hedge.
